Josie Zec

Josephine Ida Zec known by her nickname #Josie is a 17 year old soprano singer, songwriter, author and community organizer. She has been performing since the age of 4. At 11, she won 3rd place with her startup up idea for an app called Animingles. Within a year, she turned the app idea into a children’s storybook of the same name. At 13, she represented Croatia in Junior Eurovision in Malta with an original song. At 14, she won a grant by the US State Department and put on 4 events for girls to learn about STEM through her project Pyxie Dust Project running in Zagreb, Osijek and Zadar from 2014 to 2016. She has been a member of the famed girls choir Zvjezdice since 2013 and has performed in top venues in Croatia including Lisinski and Croatian National Theatre as well as on tour in the US. She attends two high schools Bishops Classical high school in Zagreb and Art School Frane Lucic in Velika Gorica for solo singing.
